The Comb Over - If you are down to this, you can no longer cover up your hair loss. This is where you take the hair on the sides and comb it over the bald area on top. You cannot cover it up; you just draw attention to it.
Hats - It is appropriate for both men and women to wear hats to cover the bald areas. It is appropriate today for men to wear ball caps in most areas, together with some restaurants.
Concealers - These are products that are made of the same stuff that hair is made of. One such product is Toppik. It works by putting microfiber hairs, keratin, on the scalp where the balding occurs, and makes your hair look fuller. I use Toppik and am quite satisfied with it.
Shampoos - There are many shampoos out there that will make your hair look fuller. Plus there are many that claim they re-grow hair. I would be suspicious of these since most of the minerals and vitamins that are intended to grow hair end up down the drain.
Conclusion - So if you are losing your hair, there are unavoidable things you can do to cover your hair loss. The items you should think are hairstyles, hats, concealers and shampoos.
